The event is organized by the Classic Car Club of Ceylon (CCCC) and the Ceylon Motor Traders Association (CMTA), two pioneering institutions that have shaped the country’s motoring legacy for over a century.
With a history dating back to the first motor show in 1927 organized by the Automobile Association of Ceylon, Sri Lanka’s motor exhibitions have evolved into vivacious showcases of innovation, heritage, and mobility. The Ceylon Motor Show continues this tradition to date, serving as the voice of the automotive industry while ensuring sustainable growth and advancement for the sector. This year will also feature an impressive line-up of vehicles from multiple eras and marques displaying the remarkable evolution over time.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) formalizing the partnership between the three entities was signed on October 3, 2025, at the LOLC Holdings Head Office in Rajagiriya. The tri-party ceremony brought together senior representatives from LOLC Group, the Classic Car Club of Ceylon, and the Ceylon Motor Traders Association.
